About WAVE
WAVE is an open protocol and API for video on the internet — designed from the start for both people and autonomous agents.
The platform is a hub-and-spoke edge architecture: thin spokes front each product at the Cloudflare edge and federate to a single gateway that enforces authentication, scope, entitlement, and metering. Agents transact for media using native HTTP-402 (x402) payment negotiation.
WAVE is built on Cloudflare, Supabase, and Stripe, with a documented compliance posture spanning the EU AI Act, GDPR/CCPA, and HIPAA (under BAA).
Who's building WAVE
Jake Fineman — Founder
Jake Fineman has spent 15+ years in live production and broadcast infrastructure. He has built and operated global live command centers, designed sub-second WebRTC delivery for million-viewer events, and works hands-on across the live-video transport stack — SRT, RIST, NDI, Dante, HLS, RTMP, and WebRTC. WAVE is the platform he kept needing and could never buy.
