Who's building WAVE
Jake Fineman — Founder
WAVE is built by someone who spent 15+ years inside the failure modes it removes. Founder Jake Fineman has worked in live signal flow since high school, and for the last decade-plus has designed and operated global live-broadcast infrastructure — production and command centers across Dublin, New York, and San Francisco, sub-second WebRTC delivery at million-viewer scale, and site-to-site contribution over SRT, NDI, Dante, and JPEG XS for some of the most demanding live productions in the world.
Every one of those builds meant hand-stitching transport protocols, cloud plumbing, and AV gear that were never meant to work together — bespoke, fragile, expensive to run. WAVE is the platform that work kept asking for: the transports (NDI, Dante, SRT, MoQ, OMT, Bridge) and the AI tooling around them, productized on the edge so a team stands up in minutes what used to take a command center. Why now — the protocols finally exist and the edge finally reaches everywhere. Why us — we already operated the hard version by hand.
